Dear Tea Party Patriots,
Today you were scammed by the House of Representatives, and despite the fact that you shut down the phones of virtually every Representative in the nation, they ignored you and voted for another bill which they haven’t even read.
HR 2454 The American Clean Energy & Security Act (Previously named CAP & TRADE)
passed, with the assistance of eight Republican votes. The House added 300 pages today, none of them have read it, and they still voted for it. How much abuse will we take from politicians that don’t care about us any longer?
So, the question is, what are you willing to do about it? We have watched in awe as Iranians have taken to the streets of their nation to protest a corrupt and abusive government. Do we have what it takes to stand up to our own government and tell them that we won’t take it anymore? Do we have the genes passed to us by our forefathers, who risked their lives to preserve their freedom?
What do you want to do? Many are suggesting that we take to the streets now…immediately, around the country…at every Federal courthouse, in every city. Are you willing? Are you ready? Is it time to say NO MORE????!!!!!
Please let us know ASAP what you want to do. Do you want to take to the streets right now? It’s Friday night across the country, and a good time to hit the streets if you want to express yourselves. Do we want to do it tomorrow? Many Patriots are angry and demanding immediate action.
This is a true grass roots movement and we aren’t going without you. Is it time to light a grass fire and hit the streets tonight or tomorrow?

In response to this horrendous bill, the Louisville Grassroots Tea Party is calling on all local Tea Party Patriots to show their “Representatives” in Congress exactly how they feel about this. 6th and Jefferson at 10am. Be there and show that you care!
I think we need a gray power movement now. The gray power is all people over 55 who need more medical and housing help now and less tax by a group that does not care ..

Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns about the American Clean Energy and Security Act. I greatly appreciate having the benefit of your advice on this critically important issue.
Like you, I had very serious objections to the original American Clean Energy and Security Act. While there were provisions in the bill that were key to economic growth and job creation here in Kentucky and across the country, I opposed the original draft because — in my assessment — it unfairly burdened Louisville families. However, in the days leading up to the vote, I worked with House Leadership to make significant changes to the legislation. Only when improvements were made to protect Louisville families from unfair increases in electricity rates, did I decide to vote in favor of the legislation. Given the significance of the issue, I feel it is important to fully communicate my reasons for this vote. I have included a copy of an op-ed I wrote about the American Clean Energy and Security Act and what it will mean for our community, which I thought you might like to review.
