Dr. Simon, while influential in the circles defined by the American Family Association, of which he is the head, does not speak for nor lead the way for the Louisville Grassroots TEA Party. There are goals which we have in common, others we may not. There are several groups participating in this weekend’s Senate Forum, for example. Dr. Simon has secured the venue, but those present will be from “on the ground” afforts from throughout the area. I have prepared a number of questions to present and no one from the AFA has edited or advised me as to what to ask. No outspoken, charismatic or lightning-rod personality, whether locally or nationally, is the face or voice of the true TEA Party movement in America.
