Louisville TEA Party Board Meeting (2:30-4:30)
We’ll be interviewing Senatorial candidates Bill Johnson and Trey Grayson…and assembling the itinerary for the April 15th TEA Party Rally on Jefferson Square. We hope to have an exciting announcement or two re: its details very soon!

Senate Forum @ Evangel Convention Center, 9600 Billtown Road, Saturday, March 13th, from 10am until noon. Dr. Rand Paul and Bill Johnson are both confirmed for the event, which is being co-sponsored by several area grassroots organizations. (Trey Grayson’s campaignwas invited, but declined the invitation to participate for undisclosed reasons.)

Third District Candidate Forum and Straw Poll from 4 to 6 pm at Central High School, 1130 W. Chestnut Street. Join the Kentucky Young Republicans for this fun afternoon. This will be a great opportunity to hear from our candidates for US Senate, Congress and Mayor. Confirmed speakers include US Senate candidate John Stephenson, US Congressional candidates Larry Hausman, Todd Lally, Jeff Reetz and Brooks Wicker, and Mayoral candidates Hal Heiner and Chris Thieneman.

The Metropolitan Republican Women’s Club (MRWC) is hosting a Public Forum for US Senate Candidates at The Clifton Center beginning at 6:00 PM. The Center is located at 2117 Payne Street, 40206. The cost to attend is $10. (Note: Event may be canceled since, as of this edit [9pm, Sunday, 3/14] Rand Paul has opted out and with Bill Johnson exiting the race last week, the forum may be thereby nullified.)

Our monthly, roving TEA Party Social/Volunteers Meeting will be held @ John E’s Restaurant and Lounge, 3708 Bardstown Road, Thursday, April 1st, from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Let’s not allow our government to make “Fools” of us. Come out. Enjoy good food. Vent. Share. And have your fire stoked about the restoration of America. LTP Board Secretary Rachel Ford and Event Coordinator, Wendy Caswell will be in the house to help you connect and get involved. The one year anniversary of the TEA Party movement in downtown Louisville will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 11am to 1:30pm on Jefferson Square (6th & Jefferson, downtown). This year’s edition of the 2nd Annual “Taxed Enough Already” Rally will include the following speakers who are confirmed: (Moderator) Jim Coyle (of the “We The People” Broadcast on AM-970WGTK), Marilyn Parker (The Mom Without a Teleprompter), Les Naiman (“The Voice of Liberty” 7p Sundays on WGTK), Louisville TEA Party President Dan Blanchard, US Senate Candidate Rand Paul, 3rd District Congressional candidates Larry Hausman, Todd Lally, Jeff Reetz, Ed Martin and Brooks Wicker and Mayoral candidates Hal Heiner and Chris Thieneman. Special Guest Speaker will be Bill Johnson. Corpjester Comedian Mark Klein will be a special treat along with musical guests, Louisville’s own acappella vocal band, Water’s Edge.
